Technical Speculator ...your financial market review

The March 2025 Newsletter has now been posted

These three pages are the first of the 25 page March newsletter.

This month's research report topics are Commodities: Sticky inflation, tariffs, gold nears record.  International Equities: At an important junction.  U.S. & Canadian Equities: Pullback begins.

In the Commodity section, the livestock index outperforms gold as inflation continues to drive food prices higher, gasoline prices are set for a weak Q2, gold stalls under the psychological barrier, and investors still have no love for industrial metals.

In International Equities, the most important chart is 15a.  This provides a roadmap for 2025.  Emerging markets ETF gets a lift from the Big dollar, Germany's DAX leads European indexes higher and Australia's ASX posted a new all-time high.

The U.S. & Canadian Equities shows the mood of the market is at extreme fear, US jobless claims spikes in February, the AAII Bulls Index shows a clear warning sign, NYSE, SPX, Nasdaq, Dow and TSX all stall, and business cycle analysis points to markets near the end of the expansion phase.
